Make a good impression

Perhaps your customers get their first impression of your business from your business card. Or perhaps from your sign or website.

That first impression will go a long, long way. Make it count!

Three things to keep in mind:

1. Make everything match. Your sign, business card, and website should all look alike. When people spot that “look” they’ll immediately think of you, just as they think of a certain fast food chain when they see golden arches. In the example at right, Pam’s business cards, posters, and website all use the same logo, colors, and typeface.

2. Make your “look” appropriate to your organization. Are you a fun, upbeat kind of place or a serious, traditional business?

3. Make everything as beautiful, professional, and memorable as you can.

When it comes to making a good impression, it pays to get professional help. Good designers think long and hard about how to capture your business in a simple emblem or perfect typeface. Think about your own field and the mistakes amateurs make because they don’t have enough experience. The same is true here.
